Hailing from the south of Montgomery, Alabama, SynX was born on August 29 and raised with music and pain intertwined. Introduced to music as a family tradition, his foundation began with piano and saxophone, though percussion always pulled him in first. By elementary school he had nearly played every instrument available, earning multiple awards in middle school talent he didn’t yet understand the weight of.

Growing up, Michael Jackson was always in rotation, a connection that felt personal long before SynX understood why they shared the same birthday. Kanye West shaped his sense of creativity and structure, while Tyler, The Creator was a constant presence through his sister’s music an influence he didn’t fully embrace until later, when its depth started to hit differently.

In high school, SynX finally stepped fully into percussion, primarily on bass drum while also working quads, cymbals, and snare. Outside the band room, he was freestyling almost daily and had already begun experimenting with music creation on GarageBand back in middle school. What started as simple ideas slowly turned serious, and once the switch flipped, he never stopped music became more than a skill; it became his true passion.
